Moonroof Release Vanilla

Philly-rooted band, MOONROOF, share their single “Vanilla”.It was recorded by Vic Antonio at Little Brother Audio, mixed and mastered by Tyler Ripley.

“Vanilla is the perfect blend of indie pop and indie rock. It offers a catchy hook about how one gets tired of the taste of Vanilla. When you are around someone too much it gets to be suffocating,” said lead singer Dave Kim

A combo of synths and layers of Kim’s vocals allow the listener to go full steam ahead in the chorus until being submerged in the verses. Vanilla’'s drive and non stop energy relates to the constant affection of a relationship in the honeymoon phase.

“We want the listeners to relate to any toxic relationship. Everyone has the honeymoon phase, so you believe everything is going well. Finally the only thing to do is accept the relationship's faults and just end it.” added Kim.

Vanilla is to be released on Feb 12th right before Valentines Day, which is a time of love and remembrance. A middle finger to the holiday’s norms, yet a song that is catchy enough for people to not even notice.

Led by the smooth vocals of Dave Kim and the steady beat of Dan Rendine on drums, Moonroof creates songs that give the listener a nostalgic feeling filled with positive energy. With the melodic guitar and backing vocals of Danny Walsh, you get an up and coming band that releases music that is constantly moving forward regardless of the many obstacles that today brings.

Moonroof looks to keep moving forward with music throughout 2021 after signing with Free Dive Records in October.
