Floracene emerged from South Jersey’s / Philly’s independent music scene with a sound rooted in indie rock sprinkled with some alternative nostalgia. Built by Pat Johnson’s vocal melodies, Pat McHugh’s layered guitar work and the overall bands songwriting, the band has developed a style that feels finally true and real. Additions of Derek Sattazahn and Vince Quaciarii over the years has been paramount to the bands success and motivation, along with the longtime contributions on guitar by Tom Tarcelli. 

 

Floracene’s ever second single, “Rollercoaster”, released in 2019, has 1.2 million streams, and the band since has released 8 singles and an EP since then, with the notable mentions of “Call Me If You Want Me”, “Bruises”, & “Magic” being fan favorites. Floracene always prioritizes a good live show. With the mentions of opening up for Nine Days (Story of a Girl) in Delaware, to Headlining the Stone Pony, and to selling out local Philly venues, the band always captures an energy that leaves people feeling better than they came in. The band recently signed to indie label Free DIve Collective and is currently working on music with producer/engineer Tyler Ripley
